Seeing the sights in South Bend

We have had a pretty eventful week this week. Amy's friend from high school, Michelle, came up from Houston for the weekend. To celebrate, we started with a dinner at "Fondue!", where we enjoyed melted cheese and chocolate on various breads / fruits. We also went to the Amish Acres Arts & Crafts fair, which (despite its name) has little to do with either the Amish or the Acres. We also exposed Michelle to her first dinner of East Indian cuisine; she really enjoyed it.

Also, Ryan Patrick has passed his month-old birthday. We, ever the new parents, got a small birthday cake for the occasion. We also have updated stats for the tot: Height - 23.5 inches. Weight - 11.5 lbs. Eyes - blue.

Orientation for the law school is next Friday, with classes starting the following week. I'm starting to get a little nervous (more about the change in routine than anything else), but I'm eager to get to work. Depending on the amount homework they assign, I may turn over the upkeep of the blog to Amy - we'll see how it goes.

Finally, best of wishes and good luck to Monte and Christine (37 weeks into their pregnancy with Ryan Patrick's cousin - http://grossobaby.blogspot.com/ ). Hope all is well, and will post again soon.
