Zoo Time with Dad

Took the little ones to the zoo this weekend so Amy could get a little extra sleep. Ok...I'm not really that nice. Real reason: this week was the Dinosaur Exhibit!!!

I'm not sure the kids were as into it as I was...

So instead I let them climb on the statues...

...and play in the playground...

...and go down the dangerously big slide...

But since that was a good bit of work, the kids needed to cool off:

After a long day, the boy had had enough...

The girl? Not so much...

Papi Time

We spent a little quality time with Papi.... Someone needs to learn not to give that girl wooden spoons. :)

Kids Museum

A few weeks ago we drove to a little childrens museum out in the middle on nowhere. The kids had a blast.

They flew a plane of two...

pretended to be Uncle Rob and Aunt Ashley, dug for fossils...

and did a little shopping.

There were many other things to do... But like the great parents we are, we forgot to charge the camera before leaving... and had exactly 7 minutes worth of battery when we arrived. :)
We rock!

What happens when...

... your daughter rubs doritos all over her face.

or
... your daughter dumps an open bottle of shampoo into the bath tub.

Still Pregnant

... Just in case anyone was wondering.

(Of course, this means I am too tired to blog... excuses, excuses. I will try to update pics before the end of the week.)

Mr. No-Nap

First, a little background information:

Our son doesn't take naps. He hasn't for about 2 years now. He absolutely refuses to take naps and gets upset if you even imply that he should take one.

Here's the rub:

Because he doesn't take naps he typically falls asleep immediately if you can somehow force him to be still. Our secret weapon? The car seat. It's sort of an irresistible force meets an immovable object kind of thing.

With that setup, here's our little documentary...

Medieval Fair

The family headed out on a mini-vacation... to the Medieval fair.
(Just between us, this was nothing compare to Ren-Fair in Texas... but honestly what can compare when you're talking Texas) :) However, it was a really good day.

We met a bear (okay a guy in a bear costume... but he was really realistic... I can't believe we didn't get a shot of the bear.)

We watched some jousting and sword fighting, tried on a few hats, had some turkey legs and tons of other exciting things. Ryan P had a blast.

Knife Throwing

Ryan tried his hand at a little knife throwing.

Turns out... he is pretty good. Hit the target dead on... and got this little certificate to prove it. Good job honeys!!!

Hey Cuties

Random, I know, I just thought they were cute.

Eating with chop sticks

She tried... then figured her fingers were easier.

He, on the other hand, tried and tried...

and finally got it. Woohoo!!!

Ahh, success!!!
Is it just a cabinet???

or the best hiding place in the world???

Peek-a-boo!!!

Exercising...

Yeah, I think she's doing it wrong.
