The Halloween Trifecta
I am not sure when Halloween became a three day event... but apparently that's the new thing.
Friday, we went to the zoo for the ZOO BOO SPECTACULAR.
Saturday, we went door to door trick-or-treating. (The city changed the day to celebrate Halloween.)
and
Sunday, we went to Aberly's school which was having a trunk-or-treat festival. There were bounce houses, a petting zoo, and tons of candy. (Because, I mean, I am always a fan of teaching your kid it's totally fine to go get candy out of a stranger's car trunk.)
Here are a few photos to document our three days of Halloween festivities.

Aberly's 3rd Birthday
Happy Birthday Aberly!!!!

Princess Aberly all dressed up for her party. Princess Aberly and Princess Claire.

Okay, so I'll admit it. This was a last minute, thrown together party. This was the only cake left at 8 o'clock at night. Personally, I would have never pick a dark colored icing (and you will soon see why). But, the kids loved it, and I guess that is all that matters.

Oh, icing.

A little collection of some of the gifts today: Snow white dress, tinkerbelle wand and of course, her new horse.
Ryan P. decided since it was Aberly's birthday, they should have a sleep over in his room, in a tent.

We agreed as long as they understood the rules -- no coming out of the room and no loud, crazy laughter/talking. We told them after three warnings, they would have to go to bed in their own room.
I told Ryan, that I gave them 1 hour.

They lasted 58 minutes.
But LOVED every minute of it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Ryan P.
It was a pirate party in the Lobato house this weekend. I think I need a few years to recover before having another major party, but it was fun and Ryan had a blast!

The cake or may not have taken around 4 hours to finish... but I am just glad it wasn't a cakewreck.

You can't have a pirate party without pirate balloons.

Table decorations

I think the candle "cannons" were my favorite part of the cake.

The kids went on a treasure hunt all over the yard.... good times.

present time...

Modeling Nana and Papa John's present.

Can't leave out Cap'n Jack!
All in all , I think the party was a success.
